Together, we are making a difference.

Every day, women in Ukraine are giving birth in dark and freezing conditions following their maternity hospitals being destroyed.

Help provide the vital medical aid so desperately needed in some of the most dangerous areas of Ukraine, to support women in childbirth and their newborn babies.

Baby Lifeline has donated over £3,900,000 of maternity safety equipment through its Ukraine Appeal since March 2022.

We’ve been able to establish a network of local volunteers, who’ve helped us to deliver 169 of our out-of-hospital birth bags and other vital equipment, including defibrillators, fetal monitors, body scanners, PPE, incubators, baby warmers, stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs – to health care professionals in Ukraine.

We can do more with your support. Please help us to care for women and babies at the most vulnerable time of their lives.

Baby Lifeline Birth Bags in Ukraine

Due to networks that we have built and incredible support we have received, our out-of-hospital birth bags have made it to the frontline in Ukraine. The bags have meant that those attending births have everything they need – from uncomplicated births to emergencies. This has been particularly crucial in those areas where even basic equipment is scarce.

“As a charity dedicated to improving maternity safety for all, we feel it is imperative to continue our very specific support for Ukraine, and to do whatever we can to provide safety to the women and their babies who are going through labour in worsening conditions – and entering the world in the cold and dark, surrounded by the sounds of missiles and artillery fire."

"I am delighted that my own hospital [the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust] has been able to identify monitors to send to Ukraine where I am certain they will help save babies lives. Many hospitals in the UK are required to modernise their monitoring equipment and I would encourage them to contact Baby Lifeline who will help to make sure their previous equipment reaches the places where it is needed most."
