Baby Lifeline Ambassador James Titcombe OBE has successfully completed an incredible 2,000 km solo motorbike journey across Vietnam to raise funds and awareness for Baby Lifeline.
James rode from the south to the north of the country, facing challenges such as flooding and heavy rain along the way. Despite the obstacles, he described the adventure as “every bit as incredible – and at times, every bit as tough – as I’d hoped.”
So far, James has raised £2,619 of his £3,000 target, with all funds supporting Baby Lifeline’s mission to make maternity and neonatal care safer.
Baby Lifeline works with frontline healthcare professionals to deliver specialist training, provide life-saving equipment, and fund research that drives improvements in care for mothers and babies. Every donation helps ensure more healthcare teams have the skills and resources to save lives and prevent avoidable harm.
James’s incredible effort not only raises vital funds but also shines a spotlight on the need for safer maternity care – a cause that remains at the heart of Baby Lifeline’s work and of James’s own story as a bereaved father and lifelong advocate for patient safety.
