Families Saying 'Thank You'

We know that bringing a baby safely into the world can rely on the expertise of a team of healthcare professionals, including midwives, obstetricians, neonatal teams, anaesthetists, GPs, air ambulance crews and paramedics.

We asked families to celebrate the amazing work that maternity and neonatal teams do, and have done for families across the UK by nominating them for a UK MUM (Maternity Unit Marvels) Award.

Nominations closed in August 2023 and the winners were announced in October!

How did we celebrate?

Our winning families will be celebrating at a children’s party at Center Parcs, and overall winning national nomination has won an extra stay for 6 at a selected Center Parcs!

There was a private reception for nominated healthcare professionals on Wednesday 4th October at 11 Downing Street.

And healthcare winners also celebrated at an awards dinner at The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists on Thursday 5th October 2023.

Awards Categories

Our esteemed judging panel chose a winning story and team for each region in the UK, and a national award winner was chosen from that selection. There was also a ‘Community Award’, which will be a story which involve healthcare teams who work in the community (for example, community midwives, paramedics, GPs).
