Mara Tonks is currently Director of Midwifery at Kettering General Hospital part of University Hospitals of Northamptonshire. She has had midwifery management roles across the East and West Midlands over the last 16 years.

Mara and the team at KGH won the ‘Baby Lifeline Training National Award for Improving Safety on the Frontline – Investing in the Workforce’ award in 2023. The team were recognised for their outstanding dedication to midwifery and obstetrics training, over several years, to make the hospital as safe as possible for mothers and babies.
