Gemma is a Consultant Anaesthetist in Plymouth, Devon where she is Service Line Director.  She has an MSc in Clinical Education and the is a RCoA Regional Lead for the Quality Improvement. She is an elected member of the Obstetric Anaesthetists Association (OAA) and is chair of LabourPains, the public information website created by the OAA.  Gemma is also a member of the Donna Ockenden review team.  She is passionate about maternity safety, patient experience and learning from excellence in healthcare.
