Dr Chrissy Jayarajah MBBS FRCPsych DFSRH is a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist, Writer and Research Lead for Perinatal Services at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She has specialist expertise in women’s mental health and holds a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and is an Honorary Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health, Imperial College London.

Dr Jayarajah is a Scientific Adviser to the Maternal OCD Charity and has extensive clinical and academic expertise in the assessment and treatment of perinatal OCD, including the safe use of psychiatric medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding. She also serves as Chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPSYCH) Perinatal Faculty subspeciality advisory committee and is co host of the popular RCPSYCH podcast ‘Beyond baby blues’. Her book ‘Understanding Perinatal OCD: a guide for professionals'(JKP publishers) is available for pre order released Summer 2026).
