Alessandra is a senior research midwife working on the DREaMED research project at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which aims to reduce poor outcomes for women who are pregnant or giving birth by finding better ways to spot and treat them before they become too unwell.

 

Alongside this, she is an Associate Midwifery Lecturer at Oxford Brookes and a member of UK-Med community of practice, a humanitarian medical aid charity that deploys healthcare professionals during humanitarian crisis.

 

She holds a BSc in Midwifery and a MSc in Global Health. She is currently undertaking a PgDip at King’s College London in Clinical Research Delivery. 

 

Alessandra has over a decade of experience working in research and clinical settings in England and abroad. She also holds several advisory positions for national and international organizations.
