OBSTETRIC CARE IN 2008 - SKILLS/DRILLS TRAINING IN INTRAPARTUM EMERGENCIES
Date Tuesday:
23rd September 2008
Venue:
Dept. of
Obstetrics & Gynaecology Cork
University Maternity Hospital
A unique and exciting training day organised by Baby Lifeline in collaboration with the Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Cork University Maternity Hospital.
Obstetric skills/drills training has developed in the UK over the
last 10 years. Recent randomised clinical
trials have confirmed the benefit to patients, with significant
improvements in clinical outcomes for
mothers and babies.
The programme for this training day has been produced by a team of
experts from the UK and Southern Ireland, who
have been involved with skills/drills training since it’s inception in
the UK in 1996. Contributors from the ALSO,
MOET and SAFE teams have worked closely with Baby Lifeline to ensure the
day will provide plenty of ‘hands on’
training, as well as promoting discussion and the opportunity to discuss
how to undertake this training in-house. This training day
complements the lecture programme planned
for Wednesday 24th September
PLEASE NOTE: to ensure plenty of interaction in the workstations, places for this exciting and innovative programme have been strictly limited to a maximum of 80.
