MAJOR OBSTETRIC HAEMORRHAGE - MANAGEMENT OPTIONS

Date: Monday 12th May 2008

Major obstetric haemorrhage remains a significant cause of maternal mortality. The aims of this one day meeting are to review the various management options available, to highlight how multidisciplinary teams can work better together and also offers interactive sessions in smaller groups. This programme is for a multidisciplinary audience that will include midwives, obstetricians, obstetric anaesthetists, haematologists, risk managers and legal practitioners. Speakers &
faculty are included from all of the professional groups mentioned above.

Accreditation will be sought for 6 hours of CPD or equivalent.

The day is split into four sessions:
• initial management and team working
• anaesthetic and haematology issues
• non-surgical, surgical and radiological approaches
• interactive case discussions and workstations
