Roaring Efforts for Manor’s Maternity Team
Walsall
Manor Hospital is taking receipt of new equipment today following a kind
donation from a local club.
Following requests from the hospital for new equipment, The Walsall Lions
Club has donated £250 for a waterproof Doppler machine. The Doppler machine
is a hand-held monitor that keeps track of the unborn baby’s heart rate, and
can be used during water births.
As part of a national Baby Lifeline appeal, Maternity and Neonatal units
across the country have requested various amounts of equipment totalling
around £1.6million.
Trudie Roberts, Delivery Suite Matron said: “We are very grateful to the
Lions club for their very kind donation, as part of the national Baby
Lifeline appeal. The Doppler will be a great asset to the team so that
unborn babies’ heart rates can be effectively monitored.”
