CORONATION Street star Jimmi Harkishin popped into Coventry to say thank you to dedicated runners who raised nearly £2,500 for Baby Lifeline.
Jimmi better known as Dev in the popular ITV soap, is a vice president of the Coventry based charity.
He visited The Royal Bengal restaurant, in Albany Road, Earlsdon, for a presentaion to people who ran up to five miles to raise funds for Baby Lifeline.
The participants were due to take part in last year's Coventry Fun Run, which is organised by Coventry Building Society and Coventry Three Spires Round Table, which had to be cancelled because of bad weather.
But several fundraisers ran their miles as part of the Godiva Half Marathon instead, or ran around the Ricoh Arena, and were still able to raise £2,300 for the charity.
Baby Lifeline chief executive Judy Ledger said: " It was a devastating year for us as we were hoping the fun run would be a successful fundraiser. When it had to be cancelled we were delighted some participants were able to do the run at the Godiva Half Marathon and still managed to raise £2,300."
Jimmi, who presented the prizes, said: "I think they're all wonderful people. I've been involved with the charity for five years and it has a special place in my heart."
