Coventry Fun Run Sunday 25th June 2006

Baby Lifeline’s team sponsors – Irwin Mitchell
As one of the most popular and well attended public events Coventry's calendar, the Fun Run has an annual take up of over 6000 entrants, all ranging from those who take running seriously to schoolchildren, students, families, work colleagues, friends and animals all having a fun day out at the same time as raising funds for worthwhile causes. Entrants dressed in fancy dress, were in wheelchairs, walking dogs, as well as running seriously to achieve record times. The atmosphere as always was tremendous!
Over the last two years, Baby Lifeline secured the title of top charity fundraising organisation, and would love to achieve this again for the third time.
A 111 strong Baby Lifeline team sponsored by leading clinical negligence law firm Irwin Mitchell represented the charity, which included 35 students from Hereward College (where Baby Lifeline’s offices are based). Everyone finished the course in around 1 hour or less, and goodie bags with refreshments provided by Lota Garage and Sainsburys of Canley in Coventry were provided to make the run less grueling!
2007 will see the Silver Jubilee year for Baby Lifeline and the Coventry Fun Run. We will of course be entering a large and enthusiastic team again and will be striving to give the event a huge silver lining!
