Dr Beattie Raising Money for Baby Lifeline in High Profile Rally.
Dr Bryan Beattie, subspecialist Consultant in Fetal Medicine based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and Dr Delyth Rich, Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine based at the Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny, will be taking part in the Cannonball 8000 -2007 event and will be raising money for Baby Lifeline in the process. Dr Beattie & Dr Rich are now seeking corporate sponsorship for this high profile event with over a million terrestrial and satellite viewers! The 5th year anniversary Cannonball 8000 rally will Run from the UK to France, Belgium, Germany, Czech republic, Austria, Slovenia, to Croatia, stopping off at the Automotodrom at Grobnik on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, and then head to the finish line in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, where drivers and cars will be welcomed to the Cannonball 8000 finish line party at the famous Regency Esplanade Hotel which hosted guests like Orson Wells, Alfred Hitchcock and Elizabeth Taylor who stopped off on this famous Orient Express Route.
The car is a 2006 Nissan 350ZX Coupe recently purchased from Wessex Garages in Newport, Gwent by Dr Beattie. (300bhp, 3.5L 6 speed 2 seater sports car with a top speed of 155mph)
